Tomahawk - Version 1. The Tomahawk is a classic streamer fly. Streamers are designed to act in a similar way to the fish's natural prey and are generally suited to catching larger predatory fish. The technique of moving the lure erratically when in the water is designed to annoy the fish to a point where they will become aggressive and strike.
There are a number of bright, colourful designs and this is one of the first we have planned as a fishing mug design.
This one, created by flytier Larry Leight from North Carolina, in the USA is based on an original pattern by Garrie Stevens.
