The Lady Amherst Fly. The Lady Amherst is an American classic fishing fly, created by George Bonbright back in 1925. It is favoured as an early-season pattern and although it is more common to see anglers using the hairwing version of this fly, the beautiful featherwing version can sometimes be spotted working the river.
